I only noticed those after posting, so am not READY to correct them. smile. i guess I'm too used to auto numbering and spellchecker. Is someone READY to invent something for handwriting ...!!! ???
My desk diary – the best one I got so far
[because of the awesome local photos it carries]
My office window – my peephole to the outside world
My favorite pen – reminiscence from an overseas trip.
With the challenge of a photo
combined with a challenge of a handwritten meme -
something new, something fresh.
and finally I’m READY to do a post.
Come May my life would have changed. And I’m ready.
Come May I will mark a milestone. And I’m ready.
Come May I hope to have a new life. And I’m ready
to break out of that window

P.S. on the photo challenge:
The theme for this week [Ready] did not come up during the weekend. For us weekend is Friday & Saturday. So I was sort of not READY to do any post
But then I came across the write stuff and it fascinated me.
This post combines both these efforts. Because I was READY to post something for Photo challenge only after the challenge of taking a pen in hand
Some details on the write stuff post – if anyone is interested in showing off your hand writing:
[the following I'm copying from the adventures of wembolina]
You should do it, if you’re keen. It’s nice to step away from your computer for a few minutes, dig out a nice piece of paper, find your favourite pen [under a pile of pending paperwork], and write a little summin’ summin’…
- What is your name?
- Blog URL?
- Write: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
- Favourite quote?
- Favourite song? (at the mome)
- Favourite band/musician/singer? (at the mome)
- Say anything you want
- Tag 3-5 bloggers
[how do you tag when handwriting? duh!!! I guess I will have to do it the old fashioned way!!!]
Note on my handwriting exercise: I just found out I am bad at handwriting. I do not know proper numbering. I do not remember my alphabets. And I need an undo button, a move button, and a spellchecker

Sad face & happy face
I broke my sanctuary … so not able to blog for too long these days.
but that again has given me some time to tackle the stacked DVD pile.
And last night I watched “the help”. A very touching movie about whites and coloured in Martin Luther’s time. Brought tears to my eyes at some points.
Says a lot about tolerance, acceptance, and respect to others.
And resonates valuable quotes like
“treat others as you would like them to treat you”.
also it reflected my motto in life very well.
Which is: “live and let live” … that’s my favorite quote as I’ve hand written above
This is a great exercise. After typing all the time, I seemed to have forgotten the good old fashioned way of writing things down and don’t get me started on my spelling! These days spellcheck has become a part of my life!
something different to do
I really am embarrassed to see two fives
I am trying to get through all these wonderful posts, nice take..
thank you for the visit and the nice comment Cobbies
I do enjoy getting feeback on my writing
Now the resolution has been moved to May, eh?!
Nice, handwriting btw!
My handwriting looks like as if a chicken has run on the pages of the papers.
Time to watch those movies, huh!
Good luck with fixing your broken buddy!
oh thanks for the compliment. But my handwriting is awful
]
[and just so that you know, it is weird to see that image
Anyways, why don’t you show off how a “chicken run on a page” looks like!!!!
that would be fun.
broken buddy seems to like a goner … still trying to keep some hope alive
and no, nothing has moved. things are going on schedule
I am freaking out Mon Amie!
The image is more than weird. I do see it too. The funny thing is I see my skull, it’s on the other the image is showing.
Something has gone wrong …
Anyway, I will try to show off my chicken run dance on a paper someday.
a goner? serious?
Ouch!!! Hope you get revive the HD.
So what’s up with the May drama then if nothing has moved?
yeah a goner. still not sure I can recover my files
I had been working on my breadfruit post which needed some memory digging
and I had written it all out. and it was in a word doc in that pretty precious one
Now I feel as if I’ve lost my memory of the breadfruit tree.
I guess I’ve to muster the energy to redo it …
Good handwriting is a gift. How we have neglected pen and paper these days! The right way to pay tribute to the art of hand-writing.
I too wish to try that. But without the assistance of all those buttons we become really helpless and impatient. How sad!
Good attempt, Amira!
Oh I don’t have the gift of good hand writing. You guys have no idea how much an effort I put into it to make readable
My off-hand handwriting is totally illegible to anyone else. and after a few days it is illegible to me too
Do try a post like that … it is fun
You have beautiful handwriting and I love this creative way of looking at READY!
thanks ElizOf
It’s nice to think people like my careless handwriting
i hardly can read what i write on paper when i see it next time. Except signature other words seems to be better on computer
I’m the same boat Amar Naik.
I tap on my keyboard all the time.
I can’t read my own hand writing after a few days.
So I make sure I never write
And the few times I do write I make sure I transfer that to the computer soon enough
Oh, I will have to try this handwriting exercise, although I’m not very fond of my handwriting. I like yours, btw. Good entry for Ready. I have been meaning to watch The Help. A friend of mine was in it and it was filmed here in Mississippi. I think I should probably hurry up and watch.
WHAT!!! a friend of yours was in the movie!!!????
How cool is that. The perfomance is superbly great in it.
I was transported back to that time easily enough …
Amira….your handwriting is pretty! I like the soft curls it has. I’ll bet that means you are very feminine.
My big problem is spelling. I’m forever getting “caught” by spell checker! And I used to pride myself on my spelling. ;(
I think that’s a good exercise~I’ll have to try it!
Thank you Judy.
I’m surprised that everyone keeps saying nice things about my handwriting. But it is not
nevertheless, I’m glad to know you see soft curls …
and wow, finally an analyser!!!
I like being associated with feminine
Sometimes back I was told that the leftward slant in my letters means that I conceal my emotions and that I can appear to be indifferent
Izzat do, Izzat lo…
Geo aor Jeenay do…
so nice….
Geo aor Jeenay do
I like that
Live and let live
Great Post Amira
thanks jake
Hi Amira – this is completely unrelated to the post….which I liked!! but related to how you are doing in the Maldives? Just heard about the president resigning and VP being sworn in! Thinking of you.
Marilyn, thanks for the concern
we are doing alright. yes the president resigned … it was in my opinion a military coup. he wasn’t given a choice. And the president resigned with grace.
the opposition who has been demonstrating for 20 nights without end surely will be glad.
And I’m in a way glad this ended today. It has been disturbing as hell. the president and the opposition was taking their stand and not giving an inch. So in the end … this was inevitable.. and expected.
The vice president is an educated person and I hope things to smoothen out
i think this is great – and your handwriting is fine…
thanks Jo
I think after seeing this – I will do my next entry handwritten, and scan it in!
Do let me know if you try that
I enjoyed doing it …
And I like taking snaps … so I just took a photo of my writing
