I guess there will always be an award
or similar one going around blogosphere
It really is wonderful, makes us feel special
In reality it is a simple and friendly gesture
from one blogger friend to another.
I have been very lucky to be loved
by a number of cool bloggers
sending their thoughts my way.
It seems, the rule book on this award is unique:
ONE: share something about you, alphabetically!
a word or two about you starting with each alphabet
TWO: nominate worthy bloggers for this award,
no limit how many you forward it to.
So here goes … let me share A to Z about me
[hoping I have not forgotten my alphabets].
A: Acting is what we all humans do in our life. We put up a mask, a cover, for whatever situation we face with. What we feel in our heart and mind, reaches the face only when we really want to. So, we are all actors. And my favourite Actor on Bollywood is Amir Khan, and Johnny Depp in Hollywood
B: Blogging is the one activity I enjoy most, these days. Here I am me. I feel freedom in writing what I feel. I don’t look over my shoulder to see whether I am being politically correct, whether I am offending someone by my honesty, I express what I want to a non-judgemental audience … I am just an anonymous person here.
C: Camera, the one thing I carry with me all the time. Not just the camera on the phone. But a compact digital camera. I enjoy photographing candid moments.
D: Democracy left and right – such a catch word these days. And the drama that surrounds it here in my country just fascinates and disturbs me.
E: Empowerment of the people, especially the women – is something I strongly believe in.
F: Flabbergasted I am, about the situation here.
G: Gracious I am, I believe. I am definitely an ambassador of Good-will [that’s what I feel, not sure what others would say about me in that regard].
H: Humbled I am, by the love and congenial respect by fellow bloggers.
I: iPad fascinates me… but it’s not clever enough as a writing tool. But fascinating nonetheless, as a smart gadget for a variety of things. The pleasure of tap-tapping and sliding your fingers on it is something else… The look and feel of blogs on it is just mind blowing
J: Justice needs to be served. It’s a basic tenet I believe in. [But for the record Judge Abla is not synonymous with Justice ... such a craze the lunatics caused on that topic].
K: Kites … yes Kites is the word that came to my mind … and it is associated with Kites the movie of an Afghanistan boy, Kites the book of the same movie, Kites – those we so enjoyed flying when I was a kid.
L: Live & Let Live – My motto in life and goes very well with “L” And also learning is something I craze over, Love is absolutely essential, Loneliness is sometimes a blessing in disguise, & Listening is something I am good at.. And I loathe people who think their way is the only way.
M: Modesty is such a beautiful garment to wear on you. I try to keep it on all the time. And to me, that is a bit synonymous to motherly love and motherly care.
N: Never say “never” is another motto I like to advocate. There is always a way – sometimes it may be a straight forward sprint, at other times jumping over the hurdles, going through loops, taking the roundabout way is needed. But nothing is never impossible.
O: Outrage is what I feel at unethical, immoral, irresponsible, and irrevocable damage caused in the name of freedom, in the name of religion, in the name of democracy …
P: Politics and Patriotism are both concepts I associate myself with. I dab in politics only because I am patriotic to the very bone in me. And one of my strengths AND also weakness is my unparalleled fanaticism with Perfectionism.
Q: Quicksilver nature of our surroundings, our mindsets, our beliefs just shocks and baffles me. In our society; fads, fashions, or cults can take over the minds of our people overnight. [the word itself is so beautiful]
R: Respect we need to earn. And respect we need to give without any condition. Also R says to me Red, Roses, Romantic, Royal, & Religion.
S: Super Sensitive I am when it comes to my morality and ethics – I guard them with fervour unmatched.
T: Tall I like to believe I am, but I am not! But I am not short either.
U: Ubiquitous should be our ethics. Whether someone is watching or not we need to carry it with us all the time.
V: Versatile one needs to be, in whatever we do.
W: “Why” is the one word that I use most often! As long as someone can explain to me the why of what they are doing succinctly, with conviction, I can listen and agree.
X: Xenoglossia is a word I love to associate with me. Not that I am that clever! But still … I would like to be … it is a wish.
Y: Yellow I have started to like. You are important. What you have to say and write is important to me.
Z: Zealous is what I am when it comes to my obligations. And work obligations stays on the top of the list. I know I need to divert it to my family, I am trying!
That’s it. A to Zed tidbits about me
