The purplish pink and green in the foreground;
the green, grey, & white in the background;
the meandering mountain ranges
as far as the eyes can see;
the slopes splashed with white patches here and there;
the spiraling roads around the mountain peaks.
All are sights that I crave to see;
the cool weather I love to feel on my skin;
the green in the air I like to smell.
The image above evoked such nostalgia
in this ocean-minded me.
The image I wish I had captured with my lens!
Alas I did not, I have not even been there.
And yet, I wish a wish to be there
Oh lord, give me the mountains
or take me there, I pray.
Take me out of this political circus of a country
A country full of wanna be politicians
and wanna be heads of state!
Royal mess we are in at the moment.
Give me some escape and peace of mind
Love that poem… it’s awesome! It goes with my photo nicely!
Thanks Amira.
BTW….I keep forgetting to tell you I love your header! It’s beautiful!
thanks Judy for the photo. The inspiration for those words came from the photo
and the header, is from a recent morning work. The sunrise is the best scene ever
Absolutely stunning Amira! I just love the colours!
yeah i love the colours too. It just is so so beautiful.
I can’t even imagine what it would do to my senses if I get to see the place in person
Yes an exotic pic and such beautiful words. You write so well. Thanks for sharing.
exotic is the right word for that image and what it holds
the compliment goes to Judy for that
thanks for the words on my writing.
As a great quote by Ernest Hemingway goes:
“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”
In my case “bleed” being the key word
