A few weeks back Learningandgrowing nominated me
And again, some days ago Aliza did the same.
They nominated me for the
Mrs. Sparkly’s 10 Commandments Award
Such colourful awards circulate here on this blogosphere
I had been drained off all energy
answering so many questions
for the tag game and here I am again
with a similar post.
[not to mention the political farce here in Maldives
and all the debates that happens around
is totally depressing and draining
AND not to mention the drama within my organisation
firing and hiring also drains the joy out of me]
This particular award also demands some answers.
And I am the type of person who try to oblige
as much as possible. I always try not to disappoint people.
This takes some time, but not too bad.
And the Curious George I am,
I had to find out who Mrs Sparkly is
how this award originated – So I googled,
but all I found out was that in December it was known as
“10 Questions”
How and why it turned to Mrs. Sparkly is not sure.
But I like it. I like the sparkly image that came with the nomination.
but it would be great to find out how this changed.
Will leave that aside for now and continue with the requirements.
The rules of engagement are:
The concept of Mrs. Sparklys Ten Commandments is that they are actually Ten Questions that must be answered with complete honesty or Mrs. Sparkly will find you ![]()
Then tag five other people.
So here are the 10 Questions and my answers:
- Describe yourself in seven words…
Introvert, Strong, Outspoken, Rebel, apologist, Mother, Independent - What keeps you up at night?
Insomnia. I have a raving uncontrollable mind - Whom would you like to be?
What a strange question. I don’t see any perfect human being.
There is no single person I would like to be. BUT
I would like to have the grace of Lady Diana, the money of Madonna,
the courage of Maria, the leadership skills of Husna Razee,
the legal know how and stamina of Azima Shukoor,
the eloquence of Noorban Fahmy,
the petite elegance of Eva … the list can go on
BUT mind you, I do not wish to be anything like Rozainna
- What are you wearing now?
A sheepish smile - What scares you?
My son asked me what I feared most.
And the only thing I could come up with was
“well, i fear not having enough money.”
- What are the best and worst things about blogging?
Best thing: Blogging is an avenue to express my thoughts to a non-judgemental audience.
Worst thing: Blogging eats away time
- What was the last website you looked at?
Haveeru.com.mv - If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
Maybe, be born to another father. But then again, that will change the whole of me. I like who I am. So, in that sense I do not wish to change anything. - Slankets, yes or no?
Oh yes. If it is winter I need the comfy of a slanket.
Not needed here in Maldives though!
- Tell us something about the person who tagged you.
Learningandgrowing is an aspiring poet and novelist
And she is still a teenager (I’m pretty sure)
Aliza is a strong woman (a girl) who write lovely stuff
and she is from Kashimir (I think)
Her real name is Aeysha, and she hopes to name her daughter Aliza
My best wishes for both
Now the fun part. The tagging … passing it on ![]()
Asking 5 bloggers to please oblige
But you see. I have played this game too much now!
Tagging others and asking them to do stuff!
So, for this one, I am going to follow Judy’s cue.
I leave it up to my blog followers to tag themselves,
IF THEY WISH.
I certainly would love to read the answers
if anyone is ready to take it up ![]()
If you do, please leave a link so that I can follow

Well, you are a Mrs Sparkly indeed sweetie and congrats! Sorry to hear about all the dramas and political farces. Seems it’s contagious. LOL! Well, you hang in there and be sparkly for the rest of us.
*big hugs*
It was fun being Mrs Sparkly for a few days.
but the glamor seems to have gone away quickly
I succeeded, eventually, to read these ten commandments….although, your questions have a spark itself but I do not find myself to run for this award… :p
