Life’s journey is very interesting;
often times it gets unfocused,
unclear, fuzzy, and blurry.
Often times, we wish we could focus,
make sense out of everything in front of our eyes,
figure out what is beyond the horizon.
The image above is from a bike ride at night
a few months ago;
haven’t been the passenger after that ![]()
Only rarely I become the passenger.
On those rare occasions when I do sit behind
my camera goes snap snap and snap
Was totally aware my camera cannot take a still image
at the speed of the bike. And yet, I tried to capture the street lights,
the ambiance of that moment, the romance in the air;
to capture other bikes with the “pairs” on its back taking a leisurely stroll
down “Boduthakurufaanu magu” under the fig trees,
the ocean on the right making rhythmic music,
the cool atmosphere, “kurunbaa gaadiaas” on the left.
The image came out totally unfocused;
and yet, I just loved it and never even thought of deleting it.
Those lights tell me a beautiful story with their fuzzy lines.
In the light of the day, the image will be totally different!
That’s just how life is. There is beauty in everything…
I believe that’s the only way to stay sane in this crazy world

Cool!
that’s a cool blog name
I’m the retiring sort too
thanks for your visit and the comment …
My pleasure – I enjoy your site!
You’re so right!
And the pic is so artistic
the pic sure is artistic … the location is artistic in itself. That must have transformed into the image
thanks for the visit and lovely comment
Very artfully done.
thank you for appreciating my “accident”

I had no hand in the artistry of the image. it was just a blind point and shoot attempt
I could not see anything from the viewfinder or the screen as it was too dark. Only was happy that I took an image.
thanks for the visit and the comment
I like your shot… It is perfect for the challenge.
thanks ElizOf
the moment I saw the theme, I knew this was what it was going to be.
I am a very photo freak and take loads of pictures and am very particular about removing any fuzzy unclear, out of focus photos. and for some reason I just loved this one
It is a crazy world, I agree, but only because it’s made up of humans.
And it’s a beautiful world, ditto
But when change must happen, do it

true, humans make the world beautiful and humans make the world crazy
whatever it is, look on the positive and things would be alright
Love the captured night lights and its effects. Inspiring words. These sounded beautiful, ” tried to capture the street lights,
the ambiance of that moment, the romance in the air.” A lot of times, I kind of think that way too. Of hoping that my camera and my memory will capture that amazing moment. Thanks . Have a great weekend.
Know what!!!! A lot of times I kind of wish I could capture the scent in the environment.
With the visual stuff we can sort of get a feeling of the loudness, the quietness, or the vibrancy of a place from a photo captured by our cameras.
BUT I often times wish I could capture a bit of the smell in the environment.
Maybe one day, there will be an invention …
great day to you too
nice entry for challenge

Lovely, Amira ji! What a brilliant shot.
Khush rahain.
Shaheen G, Shukriyaa for the kindness.
it really is a great shot – it talks to me in many different ways
but it was totally unintentional …
There is beauty in everything! Wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Peace and Light, lee
There sure is beauty in every single thing around us.
thanks for the visit and the lovely comment
Good shot, Amira! I love doing these kinds of photos at night. I delete most of them, but some just have too much “to say” about where we were or what we were doing…to delete them! That’s what I think about yours….it has a lot “to say”….
photos tell stories….and I love your story! Thanks for sharing!
Nice to have you back Judy
and very true Judy… photos just has too much memories attached to it. I am a real miser when it comes to photos. I will never find anything that I want to delete. I want them all
Amazing. The way you describe this picture is beautiful & so true. This week, I also shares those pictures which I took, during a ride on bike with my friends. All though the concept of both mine & your post is same, still each picture has its own story to tell. And your story was wonderful. Great work Amira.
Thanks Arindam for the visit and comment
each story tells a different story and the story differs depending on who is telling it
Your description of how our lives are unfocused everyday is so true. It isn’t all black and white. The grey areas or unfocused areas are what make for the up’s and down’s.
I almost deleted my unfocused image when I first saw it. Then, I looked at it more and more and it had a mysterious feel to it. I am so pleased I didn’t delete.
This challenge has been a fun one to visit. It showcases a tremendous variety of what people see as unfocused. This is a real nice one, Amira.
Namaste,
Isadora

True Isadora … this was one fun challenge
I hardly keep any of my unfocused images which in fact are rare too.
But this one was too special
life is unpredictable and fuzzy often times… so we have to find a way to harmonise with the fuzzy and grey parts
