well, this blog is all about me.
my journey through life.
happy stuff, sad stuff,
confusing and exciting stuff
it is all about me – my world.
some are there for all to see
some are made private as it indeed is private
some are plain to the point
some beat around the bush
but all come from my heart and my mind
i have found through my years blogging,
most of my writings come from the lonely self.
i come here when i need answers.
i come here when i need someone to listen to my mind,
i come here when i want an unquestioning shoulder to cry on,
i come here when i have something to say to no specific person
i come here when …
well, this is me
my mother pulled me out
from her, within her
to this world – cruel at times, beautiful at others
it sure is a strange world
i cry, i crawl, i walk, i run, i grow tall
i fight, i suffocate, i win, i lose, i laugh
i brawl, i sob, i hide it all
i am who i am …
with a smile, no matter what

Best of luck aye!
thanks
This a beautiful entry about yourself, love the honesty! And great poem! Keep it up and yes best of luck!

If you do not mind me asking you my dear, where do you live? you write such inspiring, powerful poetry! you truly are talented..
I don’t mind at all
I’m a deeply patriotic person who happens to love my country in spite of its many shortcomings.
I am from the unique Maldives on the equator ensuring plenty of sunshine throughout the year.
here is one of my favorite personal post on Maldives

and another post here The Ocean the Beach and me
I live in the congested City called Male’ (pronounced Maaley)
Another of my favorite posts about the where and who of me are here if you are interested to read:

And as for you thinking I am talented. I am really humbled
I am just a very simple person who just writes when I feel like writing.
“i come here when i need answers.
i come here when i need someone to listen to my mind,
i come here when i want an unquestioning shoulder to cry on,
i come here when i have something to say to no specific person”
*Thumbs up*

welcome to my space
Thanks Amira for the kind comment! It’s Maryam, which is my first name.
I can’t believe I’ve never read your ‘about’, Amira!
It’s a great about, though I’m curious – you say ‘through my years of blogging’ = wow, how long have you been blogging?
I love how you touch on all issues, and all so relevant, and you are so down to earth.
The abuse of child to me is the greatest, greatest crime. Ever.
thanks Noeleen for the encouraging words. I am very humbled with the lovely comments I get here.
and that is a humbling thought and I am so very thankful of the feedback I get.
I was never so confident of my writing earlier. But through blogging I have come to realize that I can do it
I may not be an exceptional writer. But I now understand I write well
I started blogging almost 5 years ago while I was studying in Perth. At that time blogging was the newest technological innovation which allowed people to write to a wider audience without going through the publishing long road.
Initially I blogged rarely – it was more like keeping pace with technology. and somewhere down the lane I did not blog for almost an year with my busy schedule and all. and again blogging picked up in 2011 with more open posts about my life – because I needed to vent out frustrations as well as confusing and exciting stuff that was happening in my adult life
that’s when i wrote this about page
I have found a source of encouragement to explore into sensitive topics by reading your blog. thanks for being an inspiration
A very profound intro!
thanks for the appreciation
I am very humbled with the nice comments people leave behind here.
“i am who i am …
with a smile, no matter what”.
Great credo. Keep it up.
thanks Versa Kay.
Nice to see you here
