Personality analysis, snake, tree, house, fence, …

A long time back (well in the early 1990s) I took this computer analysis.
It was the early days of computers in regular workplaces of Maldives;
and everyone was fascinated with the machine.
And from somewhere, somehow,
a software called “MOLCOL software (UK)” ended up on the one and only computer in the institution.

And we all ended up taking the test.
We were given an option of a house, a fence, a snake, a small pool, a path, and a tree, and I think a snail.

We had to position it the way we wanted them to be,
eg. it was up to us whether we wanted the snake inside the house or out, at the front door, next to the window, outside the fence, etc etc.
it was up to us to have the tree in the back or front of the house etc etc.

And when the picture was done, the machine churns out an analysis
about the person. And very surprisingly to most of us, the most of the analysis were more or less true.

Here is what the computer gave me (and believe it or not, I had this paper stacked away in my files at home, to be found with this huge cleanup).
Today, I am throwing it away and before that I am noting it down below 🙂
The smiley and the bold font are my doing 😉

*WHOAMI analysis*

Character Analysis for Amira by Mocol Software (c) Maurice Smith

You are a born romantic who love antiques, flowers, historical things and events. People like you are often very intelligent 🙂, always creative, and in most cases – possess artistic skills.

The word ‘Teaser‘ may well sum up your relationship with other people because you tend to lead them on, creating an image to control and influence how others see you. You like to be liked and can be very sensitive to criticism. Before letting anyone get really close, you must know them for a long time and trust completely that they would like the ‘real’ you.

You are materialistic. You know that it takes wealth to obtain fine things and keep them, and are prepared to sacrifice a degree of spiritual happiness to maintain a comfortable life.

In general, others find you easy to approach. However, you can be shy of new people in unfamiliar situations. This trait can lead to people who don’t know you well mis-understanding your attitude, and seeing you as unfriendly. As you are affected strongly by people you’re with, you tend to try to project an image of yourself which best suits their expectations of you.

Much of what we become is formed in the early years of our life by our parents and family. When you were young your mother was always there for you: very loving, generous, and warm. She put her family first, before all else, and you respect her greatly. Surprisingly, this has not been a major factor in shaping your character and the person you are today. Other major factors in your childhood or adult life have been more influential on you!

You do/did not know your father deeply, but perceive him as an uncomplicated person. He was (or still is?) a lovable, jolly dad. He was normally there when you needed him most. This has had some effect in the past on forming your character. Parental traits, affecting how you like to deal with life, come from your father (a little) but more from other factors.

Your mother and father were not a close couple. They are shown in your picture as often divided in their relationship.

You can be very introspective, often thinking deeply about life and its purpose. Your picture indicates you possess a major capacity for reflecting on a variety of subjects especially on philosophical or possibly emotional issues. You possess a strong belief in at least one specific discipline: religion, sexual equality, science, animal rights, politics, etc.

Your picture suggests you are a secretively passionate 🙂 person. The driving energy behind your desire can often slowly build into a single overwhelming need. This may cause you to plan ways to realize gratification. When you encounter someone you “fancy”, you are likely to deceptively manipulate 😯 things to provide opportunity for a relationship to begin: when you get them in your sights – you don’t let go easily. They probably don’t see you coming until it’s too late and you have them trapped .

You are an ambitious person able to define your own goals and work relentlessly towards achieving them no matter what problems get in your way.

Summary of other traits:
Decision making: Balanced – calculated or judged.
Day-dreams most of: Travel or escapism
Worst nightmares of: Death, violence, loss of someone you love.
General Outlook: Very optimistic

That indeed very well summarizes who I am 🙂
Ambitious, day dream about travel and great escapades, optimistic to the most part. I grew up with my mom, but from the little I know about my dad, I know I am more like him than her.

On another note, that was a time with one computer for the entire office of about 20 or 30 staff. Now there are computers for each staff (in almost all of the organizations). On top of that everyone has broadband internet connection and the computers are internally networked to facilitate file sharing. How things evolve!

  1. Ah ha! I remember when I was in school we used to draw this and analyzed on our own.It was fun!
Most of these stuffs are pretty much generalized that one will feel it is true. Long time back I even played my own… and people think I knew a lot 😀 it was fun.
I love traveling too. And do dream to escape 😀 there our thoughts are same!

thank you for sharing a chapter…………

    • I agree dear. Most of these are pretty generalized hence the feeling that it actually is true. But then again, there is a slight chance of it being slightly applicable. We arrange our life, things around us the way our mind sees fit dho. In that sense our perceptions of life, our mindset all says something about us.

Anyways, I liked the analysis 🙂

And it sounds like you are the kind of person who kept people around you with your charm.
wish you all the best for your dreams. escapism is something many people identify with.

leave a thread to follow :) merci
