about me, this i cud share :)

Page

well, this blog is all about me.
my journey through life.
happy stuff, sad stuff,
confusing and exciting stuff
it is all about me – my world.

some are there for all to see
some are made private as it indeed is private
some are plain to the point
some beat around the bush
but all come from my heart and my mind

i have found through my years blogging,
most of my writings come from the lonely self.
i come here when i need answers.
i come here when i need someone to listen to my mind,
i come here when i want an unquestioning shoulder to cry on,
i come here when i have something to say to no specific person
i come here when …

well, this is me

my mother pulled me out
from her, within her
to this world – cruel at times, beautiful at others
it sure is a strange world
i cry, i crawl, i walk, i run, i grow tall
i fight, i suffocate, i win, i lose, i laugh
i brawl, i sob, i hide it all

i am who i am …
with a smile, no matter what

Now you can really start “handing out some hugs.” Please let me know of others whom you nominate for the award. You can use the Guidelines posted as an article on A Hope for Today to learn how to insert the HUG Award emblem onto your blog, get your HUG Award Certificate, and pass the HUG Award along to others. It’s only the feedback from fellow bloggers that keeps me working on my posts.

I can’t believe I’ve never read your ‘about’, Amira!

It’s a great about, though I’m curious – you say ‘through my years of blogging’ = wow, how long have you been blogging?

I love how you touch on all issues, and all so relevant, and you are so down to earth.

The abuse of child to me is the greatest, greatest crime. Ever.

    • thanks Noeleen for the encouraging words. I am very humbled with the lovely comments I get here.
I was never so confident of my writing earlier. But through blogging I have come to realize that I can do it 🙂
I may not be an exceptional writer. But I now understand I write well 🙂 and that is a humbling thought and I am so very thankful of the feedback I get.

I started blogging almost 5 years ago while I was studying in Perth. At that time blogging was the newest technological innovation which allowed people to write to a wider audience without going through the publishing long road.

Initially I blogged rarely – it was more like keeping pace with technology. and somewhere down the lane I did not blog for almost an year with my busy schedule and all. and again blogging picked up in 2011 with more open posts about my life – because I needed to vent out frustrations as well as confusing and exciting stuff that was happening in my adult life 🙂
that’s when i wrote this about page 🙂

I have found a source of encouragement to explore into sensitive topics by reading your blog. thanks for being an inspiration

  14. Hi, I am Ritu from the blog ‘Beyond Beauty Tips’. I saw that we were connected through my blog. I announced my new domain but I haven’t seen you there yet.
Please show some love to my new blog ‘Things To Rave About’ (http://toraveabout.com) which is just BBT at a new address.
Hoping to see you there. Thanks!
I think Maldives is the most beautiful place on earth. My Pinterest board of Travel bucket list is filled with breathtaking images of Maldives!

    • What a wonderful treat you bring with your visit 🙂
I am so very thankful for the kind gesture.

I have to agree, I have dragged my feet collecting them – for, it’s a huge responsibility that you are giving me – it would be so unfair to hog it without spreading the joy. I will try and do something about it.
It’s been a while since I responded to blog awards – for I got bombarded with them sometime back and at some point it got to be exhausting 😀

For the moment I am going to just relish the joy of your kind nomination.
      Thank you Tanumoy.

      • I know how ‘joy+pain’-full it is to get blog awards… I have a long list of my own waiting already! 😛
So let us, me and you, relish this moment… cheers to the joy! 😀

      • I’m relishing the moment ….
can you hear all the applauds, the flood lights, and the drum roll ..
I am hogging the awards and am happy 🙂

    • Salaam/Namaste Tanumoy
You are spoiling me with all these awards.
And the guilt of hogging them is also building. You remind me that I am hogging 🙂

I guess I need to do something about it.

Anyways, thanks a million for thinking about my humble blog among all those awesome blog spaces.

      Wishing you a great day.

      • Haha, formalities don’t matter… the joy felt in the heart does. I’ve always maintained that we must break a few rules, life’s worth it. So, enjoy your day and enrich your soul. Namaste/Salaam. 🙂

    • 🙂 you do have a way with persuasion.
I was scared of the knife i ended up accepting it and doing a loooooong post that exhausted me to no limits.

Did you manage to answer MY questions?

  15. Hey amira!
I have got something for you! Oh and you, exceptionally, have the allowance to ignore the rules because you already have followed much for your previous awards. 🙂 So I’ll be glad if you accept these awards (with or without following the rules).
    https://randomlyabstract.wordpress.com/2013/07/22/you-are-amazing/
And on the last note, YOU ARE AMAZING! And knowing you on WordPress is something I will always cherish! 🙂
    Best wishes,
    – Maria

    • What a lovely comment 🙂
      and nomination too. thank you.

It’s amazing to know there are such amazing people over on the blogging platform who takes time to appreciate other people’s writings and thoughts.
thank you for being a constant support.

      Wishing you a wonderful Eid.

      • Honored and gratified by your lovely response:)
Glad to have you back after that break during most of Ramadhan 😉 And I too wish you a very Blissful Eid! Stay blessed, always!

  16. This was something truly beautiful to read ! I can imagine how beautiful and colorful you will be , from inside with these words….Very lovely words and one of the best intro’s I’ve read so far ! Just found your blog through Maria’s and read some of your random posts and I am amazed to see your work ! Love your blog……You are Great ! Best wishes and Love xx 🙂

    • aww 🙂
thank you. You made my day with those lovely words.
I am no writer … I just pour my heart on to the screen through the keypad, when the thoughts become too much to be held within the heart or the mind.

thank you Ain Riz for honoring my space with your presence.

  17. elniema abdelrahman

Just amazed how beautifully you have introduced yourself in a wonderful reflection out of a wonderfully cultivated mindset. I really loved your words and I am surely returning again and again your space to read and discover more.

    • Another lovely comment sent my way and I am totally totally humbled.
      thank you.
Do come back and share a bit about yourself and also your thoughts about my rants. For I do tend to rant on days. Right now, I am going through a silent phase of contemplation. Ramazan is always a busy month with so little time to ourselves (most of the time is given to family, friends, and the most in remembrance of our Creator, Allah).
I wish you a wonderful Eid.

  18. Hi amira, good to meet you here though we have come across many times @ silent fingers. excellent intro. honestly.. somewhere something did match within. may be that is the reason why I would always stop to read your comment @ silent fingers. would like to hear your thoughts further and know you better.
thank you so much for stopping by and the follow.

    • Nice to recieve a visit from you.
Your fascination is very humbling… but I can tell you I am a very ordinary woman, aadhaige dhivehi an’heneh. 🙂
Now, out of curiosity I did follow on to your page … and it is barren!?

    • I just have been a very removed blogger lately and didn’t pay attention to my visitors. My bad 🙂
Thank you for the lovely cute comment and taking the time out to to leave a thread on my doorstep.

    • See how bad I have been at keeping up with blogging and nice blogger friends 🙂
I was meaning to reply to your comment with an obliged post. The post was drafted but didn’t make it to the post list until quite late.
Here I am today, reminiscing down the blogging memory lane, trying to pep up myself for a brighter, healthier, happier, new year with more contentment. And I was thinking, looking back, I was happiest when I kept myself busy by writing silly stuff. And I am shattered to know that I was so not polite by not having replied to your comment 😀

      https://mindblur.wordpress.com/2016/11/25/when-did-i-ever-talk-about-food/

Wishing you a wonderful year ahead. May every single day be a blessing to you Saiz. Apna sa tho lagthaa hai aap bee. Like family, like a sibling, like a very dear friend. Bohoth kuch jaaney binaa …

      • No issues Ma’am.
Absolutely not with you in this world or any world.
You’ve been so motivating to me from Day One.
I’ll remember this and personally pray for you and your kids.
Writing does make us happy. 😊
Jii aur bahot sahi kaha aapnay….apna sa hi lagta haii hamesha 😉
